Members of Kent Kampers meet the third weekend of each month.  We camp the months of April - November.  During winter months we have indoor meetings either at restaurants or at the homes of members.

April is usually our volunteer weekend to give back to the community.  We have done roadside trash pickup, painting of buildings at State Parks including a variety of other volunteer activities.  We also recycle aluminum cans to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.

Our campouts are normally within a one hundred-mile range of Dover, DE.  We frequently camp at state parks in Delaware or Maryland.  During our campouts our members enjoy various activities from cards, to games, to kayaking and hiking.  It is tradition for us to enjoy a pot luck snack on Friday night, potluck dinner on Saturday and pot luck breakfast on Sunday morning.  Our members include retirees and working folks. 

The year of 2006 Kent Kampers celebrated the 30th anniversary of existence with a reunion of current and former members.    At the 2006 Samboree State Director Barry Larkin presented Chapter President Larry Pegg with a certificate from the Good Sam Club recognizing this occasion.

April 2007 at Killen's Pond

We had a great weekend April 2007 at Killen's Pond. The weather was wonderful. Our volunteer activity of painting a building in the water park.

April Campout at Killens Park: Please contact Tom Feurer about your plans for attending the campout, then the proper number of site reservations can be made.  We will be painting the bathroom in the Sports Complex. It is less than half the size of last year’s project.
