SHANTY SHAKERS

The Shanty Shakers usually meet the third weekend of each month from April to October with a Christmas party in early December. Occasionally, one of the campouts will be Monday to Friday. The April campout is usually the Delaware Mini Samboree and the September campout is usually the Delaware Samboree.  We now number 32 units with from 12 to 20 units attending each campout. Our membership ranges from Salisbury, Maryland to Wilmington, Delaware. We try to schedule our campouts so that the most any unit has to travel is less than 200 miles During each campout we usually spend one evening eating at a local restaurant and another evening having a pot luck dinner with a business meeting following dinner. At most campouts we spend some evenings telling tales around a campfire.
